My Story
From Anxious and Lost to Calm and in Control
I wasn’t born confident. I grew up stuck in my head and crippled by social anxiety.
I repeated 8th grade
I couldn’t approach women
I failed out of apprenticeships and jobs
I constantly feared what others thought of me
Even my girlfriend left because I couldn’t show up with clarity or conviction.
Friends doubted I’d ever land a solid job.
But one moment changed everything.
Sitting in the backseat of a car, I read a book about how cardio helps with anxiety. I thought it sounded ridiculous — but I gave it a shot.
And it worked.
✅ My mind quieted
✅ My confidence grew
✅ I stopped hiding from life
Then I discovered weightlifting. And from that moment, I was hooked — not just on looking better, but because of the mental health aspects as well.
What I Do Today
Today, I’m a Health Promotion Business Partner at a Fortune 500 company.
