I've worked with physio's a few times and given many of the exersises in the article. All solid advice.

I wish doctors would have this article handy to share with people. Best I ever got was it'll be better in a few weeks no matter what you do.

One thing that helped last time was brisk walking. Running or walking would hurt but brisk walking was relief. It kept me moving and what once would be days or weeks of pain was resolved the same day.

Chris,

I highly appreciate your words, thank you.

And I can imagine: Walking can help loosen tense muscles because of the twisting of the muscles along your spine, whereas the pounding of running might be too much, depending on the severity of the back pain and its cause

Mine is stiffening. I can't sit for more that 2 hours. I had to get a chair pillow for support at my lower back. I'm doing stretches exercises which helps. I will add some of these exercises to my list, like the hip airplane. I'm think of ordering a standing desk soon.

The impulse to not sit longer than 2 hours or better, every 30 minutes is a great impulse.

Standing desk: highly recommended, it’s worth every money

A few years back, that happened to me. I started doing stretches and exercises every morning, and it totally cleared up. So there’s hope!

I’m saving to refer to every morning. I have LBP and sciatica issues. The pain and muscle fatigue in my leg has been so bad I’ve not been able to walk long distances. I’m excited to follow these recommendations. Perhaps the results will be better than the physical therapist’s recommendations.

Awesome article Phil! How's your lower back pain nowadays? I've struggled with it, but a combination of hamstring stretches and walking erase the pain completely.

I got rid of many years ago. Sometimes I hand pain during the night, but it gets away fast once I start moving.

Rarely ever does it hurt when I stand for longer times, but overall, my spine health is good.

Thank you for your kind feedback, Abelardo
